When Phung Tran Do, his wife Tuyet Chau Huynh and their young son Xuyen fled Vietnam as refugees over 30 years ago, they arrived in Australia with barely the clothes on their backs.

Through an incredible display of courage, tenacity and sheer hard work, Tran and Linda (as they like to be called) have literally built their successful business from the ground up over the last three decades. A true WA success story, T&C Do & Son is now the state’s third largest vegetable producer.

As young adults, post-war Vietnam offered little to no opportunities for Tran and Linda. Desperate to build a better life, Tran and Linda fled their home with their young son as refugees on a small boat bound for Malaysia. After living in a Malaysian refugee camp, they were processed to Perth, Western Australia, which they now proudly call home.
